ANTHEM TO LIBERTY

WORLD DOG
Forgive me father for I have sinned.
My soul got shallow and I have “spinned”.
Living my life
I lost my mind
I lost my temper
I got anxious
I’m an anxious man
I got sad. I am sad.
Oh God!

KVNSTHALLE ΛTHENA | ATHENIAN SYMPOSIUM
If cabinet of curiosities were a vehicle...
“Surprisingly, the Viking 1 lander, which remains on Mars, is considered part of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.”
Ann Garrison Darrin & Beth Laura O’Leary, eds.

Athens... bound to you the night workers.
While others dream, they strive to make their dreams come true.
Awakened and loud, patient but tired, obscure heroes.
A night in Athens, hearts whispering deep, hands working hard.

EVERYTHING IS A 24x36

Everything around me is a 24x36 frame (the frame of the camera), as long as it is something that will give inspiration to my blood, so that my circulation will be faster and more creative.
This is Not My Beautiful House

KVNSTHALLE ΛTHENA | THE TRANSFORMATION OF ‘THE POLIS’
What is the role of contemporary art in shaping a democratic public sphere?
Curating is understood as a living relationship between art practice, experimentation and the transformative act of a socially engaged, non-didactic pedagogy.
"We" cannot wait for a better moment to present itself. This is the right moment for doing things differently, for seeing differently and for believing in making a difference.
KVNSTHALLE ΛTHENA aims to emphasize the constant transformation of "the polis" (Athens) as a symbolic location for the production and dissemination of contemporary culture worldwide.
FRAULA

SKYWOLF | MUSIC PRODUCER
SKYWOLF is the moniker of ALEXANDER D. KARAVASILIS, a Greek Hungarian music and video producer based in Greece.
Fraula, the track, is influenced by a vision that occurred after watching the movie “Where the wild things are". A vision of a kid running through the woods escaping reality. Experimenting on a synthesiser, trying to find a melody that would connect with the feelings left after the vision, led – out of nowhere and unintentionally – to the main melody. The rest of the track just revealed its self along the way.
EXERCISES IN STYLE

VASSILIS GERODAKOS | CAMERAWORK
"When I came in contact with the work of Henri Cartier Bresson –and inevitably– with his famous photo of the Saint Lazare station (which is of historical value), it was impossible to avoid the association with Raymond Queneau’s Exercises in Style, one of the most weird books ever written.
Besides, the Saint Lazare photo is the theater of this world".
Askisis Ifous exhibition (Exercises in Style) is being held at Booze Cooperativa up to the 14th of September.

APODEMY

A flock of birds circles and moves a cage vehicle, seeking escape from a city half finished and abandoned, with roads interrupted by fragments of fallen statues. Those hands are simultaneously the pursuit of knowledge and also the heroes/leaders of the past that we have rejected but are still haunting us.
nATURE eXISTS nEAR

The SaLtaTor Physical Dance Group, presented their trilogy Nature Exists Near, in the theater of the Fine Arts School of Athens, during the 12th Greek Choreographers Festival.
Dancers Yiannis Karounis and Nicole Koimtzi performed two solo choreographies and a duet which attempted to protagonist in three different worlds: the subconscious happiness (nATURE), the conscious misery (eXISTS) and the conscious happiness (nEAR).
LUCIDITY

Creating images and sharing it. Thoughts, fears, and hopes. A way of expression.
Being open-minded and creative is both a small and large goal. Concentration. Music. Many times that I found myself inspired by music.
Inspiration comes when looking at things such as composition, special colors palette, stories, ideas, hidden meanings and interviews like this one. Various types of photographs and there are many great artists to look at so many to name, but they do amazing work.
MAN II

While the centuries flow, the man is dressing up with the dark clothe of Power.

...

ANONIMO

ANONIMO
A new performance presented at Sadler's Wells during the 10th anniversary of Flamenco Festival London.
To what extent can we declare the authorship of our creation? Is it completely ours? Where do the artists who have influenced us, the art forms in which we were educated, or our cultural inheritances fit into the equation - do they not deserve credit?
DELICATE IMAGERY OF DEER

Her art is true to the basic impulse behind drawing as a means of recording the processes of perception, but it also captures the workings of the unconscious involved in dream formation. Incorporating disparate images from different sources, her drawings create a visual field in which the relations among images provide as powerful a thrill as their symbolic content. The drawings’ recurrent atmosphere is one that is feminine, even “girly” though not necessarily autobiographical.
